What service can you expect from Link2Europe?
At your service! What to expect from Link2Europe after you apply for a job in Belgium
Starting a new job abroad can be a daunting experience. Not with Link2Europe! We are fully focused on making your application process as smooth as possible, from the moment you submit your resume to your first day on the job. Don’t worry about getting swamped with infinite phone calls and paperwork. We have thought of everything!
With a new job in a foreign country comes a new place to live, new rules and regulations and loads of questions. No wonder you might feel a little rattled. Rid yourself of the burden of handling everything yourself, thanks to the excellent support of Link2Europe.
Step 1: application and job interview
After you’ve submitted your resume via our website or through one of our recruitment partners, you will be contacted within 24 hours by a friendly colleague from our recruitment department. They will schedule a first interview by telephone or videocall to evaluate whether you are cut out for the job. If so, we don’t waste any time. We’ll prepare for your arrival down to the smallest detail, so you don’t have to worry about a thing. If all goes well, you’ll be on the job within two weeks.
Step 2: arrival, first orientation and getting acquainted
To make sure you don’t get lost on your first day in Belgium, we provide you with all the necessary information about what to do after arrival and before you start working. We even offer free temporary accommodation if you’re planning to arrive during the weekend.
We welcome you to the Link2Europe office, where you’ll be guided through registration and orientation step by step. We’ll tackle most of your questions about life and work in Belgium during a brief information session and make sure all necessary documents get signed. After completing the formalities, we’ll go on a company tour, enabling you to get to know your new workspace. If needed, we set you up with basic workwear and organise your medical check-up, all free of charge.
Step 3: settling in
Once we’ve handled all work-related matters, it’s time for you to visit your new home. If you wish, we even take care of your living arrangements. All our apartments are fully equipped for your comfort and conveniently located near your workspace, if possible. There is a free bike at your disposal, and you can easily rent a car if necessary. You can reside in our flats – at a reasonable weekly rate – while working for Link2Europe. However, you are free to find other housing at any time you like.
While you settle in, we take care of all the necessary paperwork. We’ll set up a bank account, register your membership in a healthcare insurance fund and check whether you may qualify for child benefits.
Step 4: we’ll be in touch
During your stay, we ‘ll keep you updated on all the latest news from the Link2Europe team via informative blog posts on our website and Facebook. Know that our doors are always open in case you have questions related to your work or stay. And to make sure we don’t lose sight of each other, we organise group activities twice a year. It’s the perfect opportunity for you to get to know your extended Link2Europe family. Don’t be a stranger!
