The lamps are distributed in Belgium, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany, England, Ireland, Canada, Austria, Switzerland, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Hungary, New Zealand and Australia and the US.
At the end of 2022, our client shifted production of its lamps from Asia back to Europe. Today, their smart lamps are 100% made in Belgium. This way, our client guarantees both quality and production continuity. Our headquarters are located in Antwerp but we also have our own production and assembly facility for the lamps in Aartselaar.
We are looking for an SMD Operator to join our location in Aartselaar. You will be responsible for placing components on circuit boards using an SMT machine, and ensuring the SMT production line operates smoothly. You will handle preparation, execution, and other tasks required to optimize the production process.
You will be working within a team and under the guidance of our current SMD Operator, who will serve as your direct supervisor. This individual, as the lead SMD Operator, will oversee the line and guide you in your role, ensuring clarity in responsibilities and support for your growth and performance. Since this is a specialized SMT line, internal training will be provided.
Your responsibilities include the following:
Placing components on printed circuit boards using an SMD machine; Ensuring the optimal operation of the SMT production line, based on drawings, machine programming, and work instructions; Being involved in preparation, execution, and other tasks to ensure that the production process runs as smoothly as possible; Providing the machine with components; Programming and operating the machine; Verifying that production stages are running smoothly; Identifying and fixing minor technical defects and malfunctions; Performing the necessary quality controls; Maintaining production equipment and work environment.
Do you have expertise in operating and programming SMD machines to ensure seamless production? Are you committed to maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols and fostering a culture of risk awareness on the floor? Can you confidently understand and manage machine controls and operation protocols to keep workflows running smoothly? Do you have the ability to quickly identify and resolve production line issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring high-quality output? Are you open to transitioning to a two-shift system in a few months to enhance productivity and maximize efficiency? Then this might be the job for you!
You have a first experience in machine operating in an electronical area.
You have a technical schooling in electronics or electromechanics.
Communicative English skills are required for this job, this is the language you will communicate in.

We offer a long term position with nice conditions:
You work 40 hours a week; You are paid weekly; You have mealvouchers of €8/day of which you pay €1.09; The gross hourly starting salary is negotiable, depending on your experience; The shift hours are day hours: 8:30-17:00; After a couple of months you transfer to a two-shift system for which the shift allowance is +8%; Overtime is a possibility, this is paid at 150%.
