Our 5 multicultural in-house designers are all passionate about intricate jacquard fabrics and textiles, and work with highly regarded freelance artists and licensing houses from all over the world. A variety of design studios, trend books, art and colour books, frequent travels, old documents and archive fabrics provide further inspiration. They are also a member of several trend-watching associations such as Trendvision. All designs, books and historical fabrics are archived on a purpose-built software system. Blending these different approaches, ideas and viewpoints produces high-end fabrics in an innovative stylistic fusion that ranges from ethnic to traditional to contemporary. Use of hi-tech textiles and the latest Computer Aided Design software – linked via a network to the weaving department – add flexibility and speed. The result: custom-made products and developments, and one-of-a-kind and limited production items, all made in Belgium of the finest craftsmanship. Quality Because we control each step of the process with great care, we are absolutely confident in the quality of our jacquard fabrics and plain weaves. In the final step, to ensure the quality we promise, we test our fabrics in house on martindale and pilling. All our jacquard fabrics and plain weaves are made in Belgium and crafted from the best weaving yarns, which are produced primarily in Belgium, France, Italy and Peru. We consciously choose natural fibres because of their ecological and luxurious character. We work exclusively with the finest European dyeing houses, and we never make concessions on quality. The rich feel and craftsmanship of our high-end fabrics are our principal hallmarks.

We are seeking skilled and dedicated Weaving Machine Technicians to work during the alternating early/late shift or in the fixed night shift to ensure the uninterrupted operation and optimal performance of our weaving machines. As a Weaving Machine Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting technical issues and malfunctions, conducting preventive maintenance, and contributing to the enhancement of efficiency and effectiveness of the weaving process. Your responsibilities include the following: Ensure the continuity of the 14 weaving machines by promptly addressing technical issues and machine breakdowns; Perform troubleshooting and resolution of weaving machine malfunctions, providing assistance where needed across all machines, according to a colour code system distinguishing between those requiring master technician intervention (orange codes) and those manageable by weavers (green codes); Implement any necessary adjustments or new settings as per the provided plans or instructions. This is primarily computer-controller, but occasionally, mechanical knowledge will be required. E.g. the wrong pattern, the wrong chain etc.; Serve as the primary point of contact for weavers' inquiries and support them in machine operation; Conduct regular preventive maintenance on various weaving machines to prevent downtime and optimize performance; Propose ideas for the optimization and efficiency improvement of weaving machines; Assist the R&D Manager in arranging the setup of weaving machines and weaving samples; Conduct weaving analyses and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

What are your skills

Are you a team player with effective communication skills, able to collaborate seamlessly within small teams of 2-3 people to achieve common goals? Then this might be the job for you!

What is your experience

You have a first experience as a technician on weaving machines or a technician in the textile industry. Experience on automatic and mechanical weaving machines are both relevant. You have a strong technical knowledge and you can resolve weaving machine issues of all natures. You can understand and interpret weaving patterns and yarn types. You have experience with Dornier and Jacquard weaving machines.

If you meet the qualifications and are ready to take on this challenging yet rewarding role, we encourage you to apply for a position with the next conditions: We offer a long time position in a family-oriented company: You work 40 hours a week; You are paid weekly; The gross hourly salary is between €19.20 and €21.35, depending on your experience; You have mealvouchers of €8/day of which you pay €1.09; You work in two shifts from 5:00-13:15 and from 13:15-21:30 or in the permanent night shift from 21:30-5:00; It is also possible to work all three shifts to "fill in the gaps"; There is a shift allowance of +6% for the alternating early/late shift and +20% for the fixed night shift; Overtime never happens.
