What will you do

Originally started as a diesel service company, this company has grown to become the largest shipyard on the Belgian coast. Whether it concerns a small tugboat or a large dredger, they want to make the difference for its customers through a flexible and committed attitude. In the field of welding, they want to further establish its name as the contact point for production and installation of all possible high-quality steel constructions or welding work both onshore and offshore.

We are looking for a dock maintenance worker to strengthen the team in Brugge. The dock maintenance worker will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and functionality of our dock facilities, performing routine maintenance tasks, and assisting in various projects to maintain a safe and efficient working environment. Your responsibilities include the following: • Conduct routine inspections of dock facilities to identify maintenance needs. • Perform cleaning tasks, including but not limited to degreasing, de-rusting, and general cleaning of surfaces. • Execute routine painting tasks to maintain the appearance and protective coatings of the dock structures. • Assist in the organization and upkeep of tools, equipment, and materials used in maintenance activities. • Prepare everything for the works that are about to come.

What our client offers

• You work 38 hours a week, but are willing to do 7-12 hours of overtime every week (paid at 150% or as a compensation day). • The gross hourly starting salary is €15, depending on your experience. • The shift hours are 8:00-16:30 from monday to thursday. Friday you work from 8:00 to 14:30. • You are paid monthly. • A lot of extralegal benefits like hospitalisation insurance, and a phone if this is requested.
