At TE Connectivity Belgium BV in Oostkamp, around 700 employees develop and manufacture electromechanical components for the automotive sector (including connectors and inductive systems for automotive electronics applications). Among other things, we make the housing of the ABS/ESP control system in a car, wheel speed sensors, a water pump stator, components for power steering systems etc.

TE Connectivity is looking for Mold technicians to strengthen their plant in Oudenaarde, Belgium. Together with your team, you are responsible to keep the molding machines optimally running. As Mold technician in the stamping department, you are responsible for the maintenance and conversion of Mold (repair). You play a crucial role in the preparation of the production and make the difference. You are the link between preparing orders and passing them on to the machinery afterwards. Communication is the key! Open communication is essential at TE. That is why you ensure a complete knowledge transfer to colleagues as soon as you have taken actions.
Your responsibilities relate to repairing, maintaining and optimizing the molds.
Repair molds:
• Replace damaged molds.
• Fine mechanics.
• Move the molds back in their correct position.
Maintain molds:
• Completely disassemble the mold to check each part.
• Lubricate the parts.
• Change oil.
• Test the pieces.
• Completely set up the machine again.
Optimize molds:
• Brainstorm about possible improvements.
• Check if they can run more efficiently.
What are your skills
Can you work to 1/100 of a milimeter? Do you have experience with conventional turning and milling machines? Are you willing to work in a two-shift system? Then this might be the job for you!
What is your experience
You have a background in the metal sector.
You need to have a background with conventional turning and milling machines, no CNC machines.
You need an advanced level of fine techniques, you need to be able to work to 1/100 of a milimeter.
What is your education level
You have a bachelor degree in mechanics.
Language expectations
Communicative English OR French language skills at a B2-C1 level are required for this job, this is the language you will communicate in.
What our client offers
• You work 39.50 hours a week, and 7.45 hours a day.
• The gross hourly starting salary is between €17.50 and €18.50, depending on your experience.
• Your average monthly net starting salary is €2300 for an hourly salary of €18.50,without shift bonus.
• The shift bonus is +10%.
• The shift hours are 5:00-13:00 and 13:00-21:00.
• You have mealvouchers of €6.90/day of which you pay €1.09.
• You are paid monthly.
