They have just won a new large contract with IKEA, where they will be main supplier for the next coming years. To be able to produce the requests of IKEA, they are looking to add at least 200 additional people to their factories in Belgium.
You will work with the high platform machine most of the day. This is an aerial platform that goes +/- 10m high. You cannot be afraid of hights. You put away carpets in the warehouse racks or pick carpets out of the racks for shipment.
One carpet weighs +/- 16 kg. It is a manual job, so you can’t have back problems as this could be heavy lifting, depending on the carpet.

What is your experience
Experience with a similar machine is a big plus, willingness to work and to learn the job is more important. So candidates who are not afraid of heights and want to learn the job can also apply for this job.
What is your education level
Education is not needed as a primary skill. Balta will train people in full, it takes +/- 1-1.5year to really know all in this job.
Language expectations
Good communication of Englis or French is required
What our client offers
We offer an hourly salary of 14.23€ gross, shift bonuses: 7% (early/late), 22.53% (fix night) or 60.55% (average weekend shift),
and 5.20€ meal vouchers, in a 40 hour work week. You will be trained from your first day and will be assigned a godfather or godmother who will guide you. This way you learn skills that are not only important for your first position at Balta, but that also help you in your further career. After the period of working through the temp agency you have a chance of a permanent contract directly with Balta. You will work with a great team with a lot of activities (a quiz, bubble walking tours, etc.) in a safe working environment and the equipment you need to do your job well.
