Since 2015, Engicon nv is also the owner of the brand name ‘G&G’ from its former sister company, G&G International nv. Engicon integrated G&G’s intellectual property, engineering and operational expertise in its organization and thus preserved the knowhow and experience for the design and fabrication of pressure vessels within the company. Engicon now markets its pressure vessel activities under the Geldof and G&G brand. The Geldof fabrication area covers 60,000 m² with crane service, with the workshops accounting for 20,000 m² of that space. We are fully equipped to handle all grades of carbon and stainless steel, heat resistant and low temperature materials, special alloys, and clad and weld overlaid materials such as Inconel, Monel and Hastelloy. The preparation bays have conventional and CNC machining equipment installed and state-of-the-art machinery for flame cutting, rolling, pressing and weld preparations of plates. The large assembly bays are equipped with powerful overhead cranes, turntables and rotators and are efficiently organized in dedicated job shops. The most suitable welding techniques and equipment are employed for every weld. SAW, GMAW, FCAW, TIG, GTAW, PAW, ESW and SMAW are familiar techniques for Geldof’s skilled work force. The integrated mechanical engineering, material management, quality control and state-of-the-art surface treatment and paint shop guarantee a full in-house service to the highest standards. Engicon is looking for a Site Manager to take up this responsibility in Harelbeke. Responsibilities: • Organizing and coordinating the various services and subcontractors involved on site. • Organize daily/weekly/monthly meetings with customers and subcontractors and make reports of the meetings. • Ensuring the timely delivery of each project in accordance with the contractual obligations and in compliance with the legal regulations on safety, quality and the environment. • Follow up on the necessary documents and permits: lifting platforms, tower cranes, welding certificates etc. They use a contractor portal for this. • PDLC follow up call-offs to site needed equipment: plates, pipes etc. • Watching the staffing in function of the priorities and ensuring that all documents (such as inspections, (work) permits, VCA certificate, etc.) are present and valid. • Monitor and draw up reports on employee presence and performance. • Ensure traceability of the metal pieces. Each piece has to be registered so the producer, material and location can be traced. • Based on your experience and knowledge, you permanently solve technical problems and steer employees and subcontractors where necessary. • You act as a pivotal figure between the customer, the employees and subcontractors on site and the colleagues in the office. • You are in constant contact with the Project Manager and ensure smooth reporting internally and with the clients. • Draw up reports and pass them on to the necessary people. For example a fire report, so it can be cited later if there is a delay in a project. Also necessary for cost calculation, in case something should be invoiced. • Machine fleet management. Good planning of which machines are needed and which ones should not be rented anymore. • Check if all the ordered goods were received. • Report incidents. • Adjust resource planning, indicate on time if there are insufficient people to finish the project in time. • Manage correct waste disposal.

You have at least three years of relevant work experience in a similar position where you know how to motivate your team and achieve things in a proactive, flexible and structured way. You have experience working in the metal sector, construction or similar

What is your education level

You have a bachelor/master's degree in engineering (mechanics, electromechanics, civil, technical direction) or equivalent through experience.

Language expectations

English on minimum B2-C1 level is required for this job.

What our client offers

We offer a stable job of 40 hours per week. The estimated gross monthly salary is between €4000-€5000 per month, and the estimated net salary is between €2500-€3000 per month. On top of this you will receive mealvouchers of €8 per worked day, and KEW of €125 net per month. The extralegal benefits include a car and a charge card, hospital insurance, and a group insurance.
