Technical warehouse worker (m/f/x) - Job in Belgium
What will you do
We are looking for a Warehouse Worker to join our team in Harelbeke. In this role, you will collaborate with colleagues to receive, store, and ship goods, products, and raw materials, primarily focusing on order picking (75% of your time) and occasional forklift driving (5-10%). Your responsibilities include inspecting and counting incoming goods, storing them properly, processing orders, and following quality control and safety procedures. The ideal candidate has warehouse experience in a technical or metal environment, a strong interest in technical materials, and is comfortable with physical work. A VCA certificate, forklift license, and technical education (preferably in welding or metal-related fields) are required. Knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems is a plus. Communicative English, French, or Dutch skills are needed.
As a Warehouse worker, you will collaborate with your colleagues to perform various warehouse tasks, such as receiving, storing, and shipping goods, products, and raw materials at our central warehouse in Harelbeke. Your role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse and maintaining high standards of quality and safety. You will spend about 75% of your time order picking and 5-10% driving a forklift. Training will be provided if needed.
Your responsibilities include the following:
Counting and visually inspect incoming goods, ensuring you can recognize all technical products; Accurately entering incoming goods into the system; Properly storing incoming goods in the warehouse; Checking out goods based on order lists from Engineering, Foremen on-site, Workplace staff; Following regulations and procedures for quality control, stocking, counting, and ensure proper administrative processing of receipts; Paying attention to safety, environmental standards, order, and ergonomics within the warehouse; Reporting directly to the Warehouse Team Leader.
What are your skills
Do you have a first warehouse experience in a technical environment, preferably experience in the metal sector? Do you have a strong interest in the metal sector and all kinds of technical materials? Do you have a hands-on mentality and a sound knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics is a plus)? Do you want to learn more about all the products you work with? Are you not afraid of physical work? Do you have a good knowledge and understanding of logistics and warehouse processes? Are you punctual and have an eye for order and tidiness? What is your experience
You have a first experience in a warehouse, preferably also in the technical or metal industry.
What is your education level
You have a technical education, ideally you have a background in welding or another metal-related direction.
Language expectations
Communicative English, French, or Dutch skills are required for this job, these are the languages you will communicate in.

We offer a long term position:
You work 40 hours a week; You are paid weekly; The gross hourly salary is between €15 and €16.50, depending on your experience; You have mealvouchers of €8/day of which you pay €1.09; You work in two shifts from 5:00-13:15 and from 13:00-21:15; There is a shift allowance of +12.5% for the alternating early/late shift; Overtime is not common; You have 12 paid compensation days per year.
