Your responsibilities include the following: programming of parts with high-end CAD/CAM software, setting up and operating precision CNC turning machines, making parts accurately according to a technical drawing, checking parts in production and adjusting where necessary, basic maintenance of these CNC machines, CAM programming of 3-axis and 4-axis milling machines and of 5-axis turning and milling centers, preparation of setup sheets for production, drawing, making 3D solids of mechanical components, further development of production processes and CAM software-machine communication, and follow up evolutions in CADCAM and keep process flow up to date. Your job-related competencies include the following: performing a machining operation: Turning, determining the different machining phases and adjustment values (tolerance, position, surface state, etc.) of the piece and tool, detecting machine faults and making adjustments, finalizing or modifying a machining program or creating a basic program (conversion of plans, parts lists, etc.), checking the parts produced, starting up and monitoring production (pre-production, serial production, etc.), assembling and adjusting cutting tools, positioning and securing the piece and setting the machining parameters (speed, progress, throughput, lubrication, etc.).
