What will you do

Job offer for people with EU nationality due to work permit rules in Belgium. Balta Group, worldwide group of more than 4000 employees, known for their professionalism and service minded approach. They produce rugs and tapestries for residential and commercial use, non-woven textile for construction, geotextile, automobile and other sectors,… They have just won a new large contract with IKEA, where they will be the main supplier for the next coming years. To be able to produce the requests of IKEA, they are looking to add at least 200 additional people to their factories in Belgium.

You are responsible for operating one or more tufting machines that produce wall-to-wall carpet. As a tufter you are responsible for the quality of your carpet, repairing yarn breaks and tying yarns (manually or by machine). You will update minor quality errors and adjust the machine components yourself. Changing the yarn roles is done by Forklift drivers, it is the tuft operator that needs to initiate the request to change the role. You are also responsible for, among other things, completing production reports.

All day standing at machines and ability to keep control of the machines are not an issue to you. You are a busy bee and need a job that is very active. Order, tidiness and safety are of paramount importance to you. You have an eye for detail and are quality conscious. Administrative tasks are no problem.

No specific experience is needed – willingness to work and to learn the job is more important.

What is your education level

Education is not needed as a primary skill. Balta will train people in full, it takes +/- 1-1.5year to really know all in this job.

Language expectations

Good communication in English is a must – all trainings are given in English. People need to be willing to learn Dutch when they get a fix contract (to study on their own).

What our client offers

We offer an hourly salary of 13.15€ gross per hour, 7% shift bonus and 5.20€ meal vouchers, work 40 hours per week. You will receive a permanent contract after temp labor period. We will give you an internal training and support by a godparent at start-up.
